About us

We’re trying to take our academic interest in deCODEme and make it a little bit (about six billion base pairs) more personal.

Jon is a graduate student in the social sciences at a medium-sized university in New York, and has a B.S. in Biochemistry & Biophysics. His academic interests are epigenetics, psychopharmacology, bioethics (or lack thereof), anthropology, science & technology studies, and science education. He also reads. A lot.

Grant received his Master’s degree in Science and Technology Studies from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, and his Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, and Society from the University of Calgary, Canada. His interests are in race and ethnic studies, and the history and anthropology of science. He’ll be starting his Ph.D. in anthropology at the University of Toronto this fall.
